Adorned with a series of brown and yellow banding, the Cuvier’s dwarf caiman can be found inhabiting the flooded forests of South America. Unlike most crocodilians, this species spends a great deal of time outside the water, where it can often be found roaming at night in search of food.
Perhaps the only “true” dwarf species, this caiman can reach lengths of up to 5ft in length, making it the smallest crocodilian on the planet!
